Breathing Machine ( CO2 Content And Simulated Wearing Test )

There are two basic tests can be conducted for FACE MASKs.

  • A. CO2 CONTENT TEST:-
  • ONCE YOU SELECT THE ABOVE TEST FOLLOWING SCREEN APEARS
  • SET THE PARAMETERS AS PER THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW

Technical Specifications

UVC (germicidal) lamps used in water and air disinfection units. UV-C lamps offer almost constant UV output over their complete lifetime, for maximum security of disinfection and high system efficacy.

  • NOTE ; The approximate setting are as follows, Initially the trial is taken without mask to normalise the machine ( 1.co2 Flow : 1.8- 2lpm, 2. Humidifier bath temp: 50-52 deg c , 3. CYCLES/ MIN (STOKE): 25 )
  • 2.ONCE THE PARAMETERS ARE SET , YOU CAN PRESS THE " TEST START" BUTTON
  • 3.THE MACHINE WILL START WITHOUT CO2 FLOW FOR A MINUTE AND THEN THE CO2 FLOW WILL START AS PER THE SETTING
  • 4. CO2 FLOW IS SO ADJUSTED TO ACHIEVE EXHALATION CO2 IS ABOUT 4.85 -5.1% ANS INHALATION CO2 IS ABOUT 0.4-0.5% , KEEPING THE DUCT IN FRONT OF THE HOOD WITH BLOWER ON.
  • 5. ONCE THE EXHALATION AIR TEMP REACHES ABOUT 37 DEG C , THE MASK CAN BE PUT ON THE HOOD , SEAL IT FROM ALL SIDES AND TAKE TRIALS FOR EXHALATION (I.E.ABOUT >5 %) AND INHALATION CO2 % (I.E.> 1%)

Technical Specifications

  • 1.SET THE PARAMETER FOR WEARING MASK TEST
  • 2. RUN THE TEST WITH TEST START BUTTON
  • 3.BATH TEMP TO BE ADJUSTED TO ACHIEVE EXHALATION TEMP TO 37DEG C.

BREATHING RESISTANCE & VALVE RESISTANCE TEST

UVC (germicidal) lamps used in water and air disinfection units. UV-C lamps offer almost constant UV output over their complete lifetime, for maximum security of disinfection and high system efficacy.

  • 1.HERE TO CONDUCT BOTH EXHALATION AND INHALATION FOR BREATHING RESISTANCE OF MASKS
  • 2. MASK IS PUT ON THE RIGHT SIDE HOOD, SEALED IT WITH TAPE AND START THE BLOWER KEEPING THE BYASS VALVE OPEN/ON AND THE ROTAMETER FLOW CONTROL VALVE CLOSED.
  • 3. SLOWLY OPEN ROTAMETER VALVE AND CLOSE THE BYPASS IF REQUIRED TO ACHIVE THE REQUIRED FLOW .
  • 4. NOTE THE DIFFERENCIAL PRESSURE BY OPENING THE ISO VALVE
  • 5. SAME EXERCISE CAN BE DONE FOR DIFFERENT VALVES FOR EXHALATION FLOW.
  • 6. IN THE SAME MANNER INHALATION TEST FOR BREATHING RESISTANCE CAN BE CONDUCTED FOR DIFFERENT FLOW AND NOTE THE DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE.
  • 7. SWITCH OF THE BLOWER FOR EXHALATION TEST AND VACUUM PUMP FOR INHALATION TEST AS SOON THE RESPECTIVE TEST IS CONDUCTED.
